The American Pomeranian Club has honored Janita Januškauskaitė-Plungė as the #1 Pomeranian Breeder in America for 2025 🇺🇸. Even more special is the fact that in 2024, Tauro Kennel was also recognized as the #1 Pomeranian Breeder in America, making this the second consecutive year this title has been awarded to our breeding program.
A truly special place in our breeding history belongs to Tauro Da Vinci 🏆 – ranked #1 Pomeranian in America (Breed Points) 2025, while Tauro Zanzibar achieved an impressive #13 Pomeranian in America ranking.
Every year, our team travels to the American Pomeranian National Specialty – one of the most prestigious Pomeranian shows in the world, where the strongest kennels and top dogs from many countries compete. The level of competition is always exceptionally high, and results are never predictable. Therefore, every achievement at this level is a meaningful and important recognition of our breeding work.

Breeder Janita Januškauskaitė-Plungė has lived with dogs for over 40 years and has been breeding for more than 30 years. This has never been just a profession or a hobby – it is a life path, a daily commitment, and a true passion.
This is not just breeding – it is the responsibility of being a guardian of the breed. Breeding is never only about today’s victory in the ring. It is a long-term responsibility to preserve and pass on to future generations what breeders before us have built over decades.
Over the years, Tauro Kennel has not created its gene pool from scratch, but has carefully collected and combined some of the strongest bloodlines in the world, developed by breeders 10, 20, or even 30 years ago. Their work and legacy live on today in the blood of our dogs.
