Meet the Bichons Recognized as the Best in the World
Few people walking the streets of Lithuania would guess that two white, curly-coated Bichons with cloud-like coats are true stars of the international dog show world.
Yet at prestigious dog shows around the globe, enthusiasts regularly approach Tauro Kennel breeder Janita Januškauskaitė-Plungė to take photos with these remarkable dogs.
Meet Tauro Misoko and Tauro Sako—two Bichon Frisés that have earned recognition among the very best in the world.
At the World Dog Show in Amsterdam, one of the largest canine events worldwide, more than 33,500 dogs from 74 countries competed under the evaluation of 200 international judges. The competition was exceptionally strong, with 79 Bichon Frisés and 81 Maltese entered.
Competing in the Open Class, Tauro Misoko was crowned World Winner, while Tauro Sako earned the title of World Vice Winner.
Tauro Kennel’s Maltese also enjoyed remarkable success, bringing home the titles of World Junior Winner and World Junior Vice Winner.

Before the World Dog Show, Tauro Kennel also competed at two other prestigious events: the Benelux Winner Show and the Specialty Pre-World Show.
The results were equally impressive.
At the Benelux Winner Show, Tauro Kennel’s Maltese won first place in every entered class. Tauro Morelo was awarded Best Female, while Tauro Milano received the show’s highest distinction—Best of Breed (BOB).
Among 146 competing kennels, Tauro Kennel was selected among the Top 6 Best Kennels, confirming its position as one of the world’s leading breeders.
